Hoorah! Virginia from Poeta Officium has awarded Write21 the Creative Writer Blogging Award. Thank you, Virginia
This award ‘is meant to be given to those who share their creativity through writing stories, poems, and themselves through their writing.
The rules are…
This award should be given to those who have written a poem, a story, scripts, or some other creative form of writing for their blog.
Thank the blogger who nominated you for the award, and link to their blog.
Write a 8 line poem about yourself.
Nominate 4 other bloggers for the award and notify them of their nomination.’
I usually only write haiku when it comes to poetry, so I found Rule No. 2 quite challenging, but I was able to find a suitable 8-liner poetry form for my minimalist style of poetry.

My four nominations for the Creative Writer Blogging Award go to the following imaginative bloggers:
Charissa – Joy in the moments
Emily – Emily’s Tea Leaves
Dianne – Diannegray
Rebecca – Novel Girl
And for anyone who likes loves chocolate, go to Belgian Delights (When you get there, scroll down a bit to see some yummy chocolate truffles.)
When I was about six years old, one of my mother’s childhood friends would visit us occasionally and would always sneak me one of those thin chocolate blocks with the humungous Cadbury on it. I remember tracing the letters with my fingers and not wanting to ruin its beauty, but alas, once you start nibbling at the edges, you’re gone. I was smitten with chocolate and over the years, I have had affairs with Cherry Ripes, Bounties, Toscas (anyone remember them?) and all the other bars, blocks, and boxes. From Favourites and Darrel Lea to the most indulgent and expensive. A chocolate torte, a chocolate mousse, a black forest cake … the list goes on. My wife and I once bought a BIG box of chocolates and when we’d finally finished the second tray, I lifted it out (as I love making ice cubes from the moulded shapes) and there, staring back at us, was a third layer! Of course, I’ve learned to savour my chocolate and now go with the quality dark type.

Tell me about your favourite chocolate treats. Do you prefer a chocolate snack bar or maybe an elegant box of soft centred chocolates or even a hot or cold chocolate drink? Have you ever written in or with chocolate?

Awesome awards post! You had me at sweet chocolate truffle. My favorites are See’s truffles (all of them except the coffee flavored one. I hate that taste and my husband is glad, because he gets them all). Thanks for the award. This one looks fun. I’ll have to paste your post in a file so I don’t forget the rules though (which I’m a master at doing). Have a super week, and may the chocolate force be with you.
Thank you
I had a look at See’s and I want the Key Lime one! I don’t think we get Key Lime anything in Australia. Oh, the Raspberry one, I’ll have that too, actually, I’ll have the whole box. Ha, ha, I can just imagine your husband hovering for the coffee flavoured truffles. I’d be the same.
The blueberry one is quite delicious too.
Oh, that sounds great! I’d like a nectarine one.
Thank you for being an awesome fan (stalker). I think you’re just that bit cooler because you love chocolates enough to write poetry about it (even if you still don’t love chocolate as much as I do).
In all seriousness, thanks for the blog and Twitter love.
Ha, ha, you made me laugh. Yeah, that term ‘follower’ does sound a bit like stalker or maybe even sheep. Baaa.:)
Congratulations!!!!
I love chocolate in ANY way shape or form. Love your poem
Thank you so much for the nomination – I’ll be (stalking) checking out the other nominees now
Thank you.
All writing experiences, even these award challenges, broaden our writing reach. It’s fun to flex, try new things and meet other writers in the process.
Congrats on your award. This seems to be a new one bouncing around. I like it. I also like your poetry. I think it’s perfectly fine.
Aw, thank you, 4amWriter, you’re so kind.
Yes, I think it is a fairly newish award, but they’re all fun and challenge our creativity in a good way.
